Since you're pretty new to this, you may not want to learn winterizing while trying to have a relaxing trip. DEWINTERIZING is a pretty quick and easy thing to do - a bit of bleach in the water system, run it through until you smell bleach, shut the water off for a few hours, then run fresh water until no more bleach and start up the water heater again. Winterizing is a bit more work and this time you might want to just pay to have it done. Depending on where you're going in FL, there is a Camping World in Calera, AL, just south of Birmingham. Also one just outside Tallahassee and one near the junction of I-10 and I-12. Any of those would be an easy stop for having it winterized. BTW, the Calera and Tallahassee locations have overnighting, so you might accomplish both with one stop.
I would not dewinterize until you're into the TN/AL area. This winter has been weird and we've had plenty of subfreezing weather here in West TN and parts south.
Re places to stay...heading south out of Cincy, General Butler SP in Carrollton, KY is a good spot. Further south into TN, there is not a lot along I-65. Nashville has several nice, albeit very $$$, campgrounds near Opryland Hotel. Regardless, strongly suggest you make reservations before heading out as even the Walmart parking lots are going to be full. Have a safe trip.
