As with any camper of the era maintenance is the key to longevity. Water intrusion is usually the nail in the coffin. Some keep their RV'S well maintained others don't even know about maintenance or don't care.
If a unit is well maintained it doesn't really matter what brand you choose as long as the floor plan works for you.
The first thing I would check would be the roof, is the caulking old and dried out with cracks? what condition is the rubber roof? Then move to the inside and look for signs of water intrusion.
