Has anyone heard of or have foam sprayed in your TT tires? Dealer convinced a friend of mine this is the way to go because he will never have a flat tire.
In the dirt bike world, it's called a Bib Mousse. Never thought about something like that for a trailer tire, and I've had many blowouts with ST tires.
I put Nitrogen in my tires every time I add air. For those of you who don't know, regular normal every day air that you breath and put in tires and pool toys and anything else is 78% Nitrogen
I had the same initial reaction as carringb. I too didn't think you could use foam filled tires on highway speed tires. I do know on a UTV they prevent flats but, give a very rough ride as the tires are very unforgiving of logs, bumps, rocks, Etc.
Foam filled tires can't be used on the highway. If he's looking to foam-fill a construction trailer that doesn't see highway speeds, then it's possible.
Forget anything a dealer tells you that isn't written down in legalese.
Ask a pro tire guy what he thinks of that idea (mine cusses if I bring up the subject).
And Bumpyroad, I horselaugh at the people selling N for tires. "but the O will leak out and the N wont!" sez they. Well since we all start with 80% N anyway, why not just refill when that pesky O leaks out and youll have almost 100% N eventually anyway. Duh. Science Matters.
