My '05 Ram's body and frame literally still looks as good as it did the day I drove it home 9 years ago. Do you want me to show you some pictures of a 2005 ford I take care of at work?
Seriously, I'm glad to see Ford go with the aluminum. It's progress in my opinion. I believe it will make insurance rates a little high at first but once it gets going and more shops learn to work with it and repair it things will even back out. I see the automakers eventually going to more plastics for structural parts on these trucks. Cars have been using it for a while now.
How far we going back??? Though we're talking 2015 Ford F150..we're back to an 02 Ford and a 2000 Ram...I remember an International Scout my dad owned, he bought it brand in 74 I believe...think that was the fastest I ever saw a brand new vehicle get "rusty"... He owned 2 of them before he realized they seem to start rusting through in no time.
