The units you are seeing now are pre-production models. They are very close to production, but technically still pre-production. Ford plans to produce about 20,000 for evaluation purposes. Probably for EPA testing, IIHS/NHTSA crash testing, and manufacturing validation of the Dearborn plant. Ensure that fit and finish are good and that their manufacturing process is up to their standards like ISO 9001 or whatever it is.
