- Willcamp4ExplorerSomeone asked how much......According to the Ford website, it is a $5180.00 option and you have to buy a bunch of other things just to get there. It also includes Auto park assist and Adaptive Cruise Control as part of the package.
FYI. It will not be available on the new 2017 Super-Duty as it will not have Electric steering like the F-150 has. - RedRocket204Explorer

If any of you guys want to race backwards, I once backed up at over 40 mph with more than one trailer (across a bridge mind you). And all I needed was my mirrors and a little help to watch for traffic. :)

Well I admit it involved rails. :)

... - davidafExplorerI could have used the feature the other day. Rented a uhaul trailer and couldn't back it to save my life. The thing was going all over the place way too fast. Put a big 5er behind me, no problem, but a smaller bumper pull is another story. Not saying I'd order it though 'cause the obvious solution for me is practice.
- willi4ndExplorerLove the concept, I could use all the help I can get.
In the beginning I would dread parking my rig because I have such a challenging route, kept practicing and limited my oversteering. - fj12ryderExplorer III

The problem I have backing any trailer is I naturally want to back into a spot turning the trailer towards the passenger side. I hate backing into a spot on the driver's side and struggle a bit.
Never had a problem with the new RAM on either side, could be the mirrors :B - 2oldmanExplorer II

It's nice technology, provided that you realize that the feature is part of a package that costs $895, but does not include the backup camera, which is an additional $250, for a grand total of $1145 extra.
Which is fine if you want to pay for that feature, I'd rather learn to park the thing and save $1145.
Not only that, but you can't order it with the heavy duty payload package, or the Max Trailer Tow package, which makes absolutely no sense.
It's obviously intended to get people who do not normally trailer regularly to part with their money, which is fine, as long as people understand that other than the camera, which is $250, they eventually won't use it as they practice, so they will be out $895.
Perfect marketing gimmick to get the noobs to part with their money.
And before labeling me as some sort of Anti-Ford basher, I've done the research on the Build your own website, and I'm shopping for Fords at the moment. But I am a cheap not-so-old guy. - The problem I have backing any trailer is I naturally want to back into a spot turning the trailer towards the passenger side.
