Small world. That's likely the reason. Mine's a loaded xlt with fx4.

In any event take 13 percent of the trailer gvwr, and subtract that from your payload. What ever is left you can use in the truck. We pack almost everything in the trailer to keep numbers in check, but obviously you can't do that with people. Hope that helps.
