Sportsmen T.T.

Does anyone knows who makes Sportsmen KZ T.T. and how well is built?

Thank you in advance..
  • K-Z, now part of Thor Industries. Back a dozen years ago when we owned a K-Z Spree the Sportsmen was a more entry level series but in later years was improved ... don't know much about current models.
  • We've owned a KZ Sportsmen Showstopper for several years; now I think they're called the Sportsmen LE. We are definitely only weekend warrior types, but have not had any problems with ours.

Edited to add: we did have one problem; the led light strip in the awning mostly quit; we had it repaired once under warranty, but it wasn't long before it half-quit again. We've been meaning to do something about that...

I'd say the quality is fairly good, very good for the money. IMHO they are the best of the entry level trailers. We looked at the AR-One line, Pallomini, Amerilite, etc. The only other entry level one that we thought was perhaps a bit better built and finished was the Jayco Swift SLX but they were several thousand more and they didn't make the floorplan we were looking at (they do now, 184BS, but the MSRP is 50% more than what we paid for our trailer and I see them actually listed at MSRP online, and at that price they have an 8k wall mount vs the 13.5 top in ours and a tiny half fridge vs the full height in ours).
  • I purchased a KZ toy hauler last year; Have spent about 45 nights in it. Have been super happy with the product. It is very basic but then the price reflects that. Not had any problems with it.

    Would definitely buy another KZ.
  • We are going on the 4th camping season with ours. We have had two problems and I don't see them as being a manufacturer problem. Our Coleman A/C only lasted two years and the LED light strip in the Awning only has about half of the lights still working. Otherwise, everything else seems to be as good as the Jayco's that I have owned. Mine was built just a few months before Thor purchased KZ.
