Airbags might make it feel better but they don't increase the rear axle weight rating (and since they add weight they actually exacerbate the problem) or any of the other components. Plenty of people have gone down this route and they either tow unsafely or upgrade the tow vehicle to a 3/4 or 1 ton (or very rarely downsize their trailer). The reality of the situation is this is a pig of a loaded truck without a max tow package so it's on the very low end of the half ton payload range so smaller trailer or bigger truck time.
