4800lb trailer+1200 stuff =6000lb trailer / 12 = 720 tongue weight
Meaning on my sticker 1228-720=508 lbs in the truck?
Did I do that right?
:) Hi, your 2.7L Ecoboost has a bit more horse power and torque than my 2000 Lincoln Navigator. (300 HP & 355 TQ) My Lincoln has a 1600 lb. payload and a tow rating of 8,900 lbs. This vehicle towed my 6,300 lb. GVWR trailer for over ten years. Actual tongue weight is right at 900 lbs. This is one reason that I didn't buy a fancy F-150 to tow my trailer. I now tow with a 2014 F-150 XLT 3.5L Ecoboost with a 1745 lb. payload. As mentioned earlier, your payload will be you biggest concern. Only a scale will tell you your actual tongue weight and they all come out different.
