ford 6 speed trans

We just traded coaches and the new one has a 6 speed mated to the V-10. The old 5 speed had a "grade brake" type feature and the new one does not seem to kick down so I am guessing it does not have such a feature. I loved it on the old coach but I have to admit the new 6 speed is a big step forward! Any input on the missing "grade brake"?

    I just picked up my motor home after getting the Ford update. The rig drives perfectly now. It downshifts every time I hit the brakes, even at freeway speeds.

    Ford has a fix. It is TSB 16-0106.
    The servicing dealer must have their computer updated to IDS Level 101 (Whatever that means)

    Mine is going in tomorrow for the fix.

    It's still there but some report it not working, and appears Ford is working on a fix. It works properly on some chassis but not others. On another forum in the Ford owners section there are several threads on the topic.
