Hard to believe that the first 7.3 was only 185 horsepower. Was also IDI (In Direct Injection) and non turbo for those who were not paying attention to diesel powered trucks back in the late 80's.:...

I have an 87 Chevy V20 I bought from my uncle that has the 6.2 diesel rated at only 140hp.
Have the trailers today gotten that much heavier, or were people in less of a hurry then.
