Ford 7.3 Diesel...only 185 HP
Hard to believe that the first 7.3 was only 185 horsepower. Was also IDI (In Direct Injection) and non turbo for those who were not paying attention to diesel powered trucks back in the late 80's.:...

I remember back in High School I was working construction with my best friend and his brother. Brother had an old 7.3 (pre turbo days) and my buddy had an F250 with a 351W. We had a job up in the mountains, and tried to pull a BobCat up the hill with the 7.3 and it flat out wouldn't do it. Had to unhitch in the middle of the road, and switch to my buddies 351.
