Since the year 1996, this is the fuel efficiency I found that I depend on in still wind conditions on flat roads with my 1996 F250 7.3L diesel automatic with a 3.55 differential and a topper on the back and a loaded-for-camping gross weight of about 9,000 pounds:
23mpg solo at 55mph
21mpg solo at 70mph
14mpg towing 27-foot, 6000-pound Jayco Jayfeather at 60mph, 1500RPM
16mpg towing 27-foot, 5000-pound Airstream International at 60mph, 1500RPM
