My first Ford had a 289, I’m happy with the 302 proven tech, just upgraded and gets great mpg for a V8. Sad if it goes away. The 5.0 has a little more Hp and about 35 less torque than the 3.5.
My first Ford had a 390CI, with twin pacemakers. A better sound you never heard. My last big engine was a 460CI in a Lincoln, and it made no noise at all. Quiet as a mouse. But the 302ci in this 150 runs great, and has a pleasing growl.
