Ford decreases 5.0L V8 production due to low demand.

In a way I am not surprised that less than a quarter of F150s sold are V8s. I know my company stopped buying them in our half tons a few years after the 3.5L EcoBoost came out.

"Pickup buyers are largely to blame for the decline as a growing number of them are choosing one of the F-150's V6 options instead of the lone V8, which now accounts for less than a quarter of F-150 sales."

  • That V8 Sound must not be as popular as I have been led to believe.
  • Idk if tech passed it by. If it was under the hood of a Chevy or dodge they’d be selling more. The Eco boost is just that attractive.
Loved the 5.0. Pulled trailers as well as my subsequent 6.2 F250s.
  • A great engine that tme and technology has passed by.
