Could be as simple as poor quality diesel fuel. I had a 2009 6.4 with a DashDaq data logger and never had an issue with it (yes it smoked occasionaly during regen depending on the weather) or the DPF. It never threw a single error code during this time. Would still have it except wife bought larger 5th that required larger truck. Guess I am one of the few who think the twin turbo 6.4 is preferable over a Cummins in a Dodge.
