Yes, my opinion based on what I know, and from all the motorheads, mechanics, and garage mechanics I know. :)
Yeh, diesels have low temps compared to the much higher gas temps, that need extreme cooling when doing work.
I see Ford is trying to work around this with Technology but it seems they're trying the cheapest technology first, by the process of elimination with owners being the guineau pigs.
The key may be 2 separate intercoolers where one doesn't need to work as hard, but that's a lot of extra money, space for the additional cooler, hardware, associated electronics/sensors (?), and engineering.
