At first I wasn't going to reply because of all the issues with anybody towing anything with an Eco boost. But am I being fair to myself and others that might truly be interested not just the nay sayers. We bought our Eco boost 2 months ago and yet to have a problem. Friday May 3rd we were in Saint Francios SP in Missouri, the ranger comes to the door and advises we evacute due to rising water in the creek bed. We hooked up and left driving back north into Illinois into a driving rain stopping just south of litchfield Illinois for the rest of the weekend. AS of today we have yet to have a single issue and I will continue to use this vechile as both my daily driver and tow vechile. The F150 is a eco boost 4x4 with the max tow haul package. Our fiver is a 2004 hornet, are the weights ok, we are just border line on pin weight but it is only me and the dw and maybe a drink and snack our kids are grown and gone and we don't take the cat. Everything else is good. I am very happy with all aspects of this vechile to date. No Ford does not pay me for advertising their product if you know where i can sign up PLEASE pm me. No I am not trying to start anything and yes ford has had its problems but they seem to have gotten their act together. Do your own research a good place to start is ford f150.net.
2 months is a very short time to draw a conclusion IMHO.
I have spent three years watching this issue and have read everything i could lay my hands on. The sales manager i deal with at first even had recommended waiting, as with any new model or change it is best to wait for the bugs to be worked out. Yes two months is a short time but the overall issue seems lessening.
