Ok so after all that, we went to look at a duplicate floorplan of this trailer over the weekend and felt like it was tiny inside, even the model with a bumpout that we likely can't even tow. We looked at some larger units (considered getting a larger TV, briefly) but didn't find anything in our budget that seemed to fit.
Just because they were already up and literally in front of us I stepped in a popup. From the beginning I've been vehemently anti-popup...I remember all the issues of a 1972 Coleman. Turns out they've made some updates since then.
We wound up deciding on a 2017 Coachmen Clipper Sport 125ST with a bathroom package. This is especially nice because we'll be able to tow it with our existing vehicle (2011 Ford Edge Limited AWD). We already have a hitch, and the RV dealer will be installing the Prodigy brake controller and 7-way wiring.
Anyway, thank you everyone for your help and recommendations... much appreciated.
