Our family just camped at Disney world for the long Labor day weekend. I just wanted to post my numbers for those who might be interested in the Ford ECO. Total trip was 135 miles and by the computer we averaged 10.2 MPG.
I tried to maintain 65 mph but found myself running at or over 70 several times. At 65 mph I was at approx. 2000 rpm's . This was our first towing trip with the ECO and is was a noticeable difference from our prior truck.
I need to dial in my Equal-i-zer hitch ( I eyed it up from my prior truck, but it needs adjusting).
Anyway, great weekend with friends, and very impressed with the ECO.
Glad to hear your happy with the Eco!! I'm towing a 33' trailer thats around 7500lbs and averaging 10-10.6mpg. But I stay between 60-65mph. Five to ten mph can make a big difference in your mileage. Keep in mind that trailer tires are only rated for 65mph. I couldn't be happier with this truck. Wait until you tow up some mountains! Thats when you will really notice a difference from your prior truck!! ;)
