When I first bought my truck camper I had an f150 with the v6. The camper is a pop up that barely makes the half ton payload dry. After loading it up and driving it was clear this wasnt going to work. The small motor was so overwhelmed that the gas mileage dropped to about 7mpg with the load. I traded the 150 v6 for 350 v10 and loaded mileage went up to 12mpg. Its within a mpg of what it gets unloaded, and drives as if nothing is in the back. A very different experience vs the 150 where it was painfully obvious I had a load.
