This may be possible coming from Ford. They were selling F450 pickups only in higher trims and with diesel. If you didn't like it, you had to get a chassis cab with a retrofitted bed.

I started with baby diesels and that's what got me hooked even if mine was a normally aspirated 2.2 liter Perkins.
