That is incredibly stupid. I remember when I was researching trucks back in 2008 and 2009 and GM refused to offer the 6.2 V8 in their lower trim half ton trucks. I found the 5.3 to be lacking in power for me and I refused to pay thousands of dollars for upgraded features (and weight) that I didn't want.
Yep. And it may also mean it will not be available in the HD line, which is just XL, XLT and Lariat. And especially if there's no exhaust brake, I'm just not interested, even with our measly 8500# trailer.
