Only benefit so far is the speculated higher MPG towing and non towing as I see it.
I could see this as a great platform for a family of 4 that needs a truck as a main vehicle, likes to camp/boat and wants better mpg than a 3.5 as a daily driver. It just seems to be a couple years late to the party. JMO but from what I've read lately, auto sales seem to have peaked.
