5th wheels do have superior handling qualities but some people need a truck bed for a motorcycle, small boat or whatever.

I do agree after towing heavy with a f150, 7k lbs would be about my max for a travel trailer. It just gets shoved around too much. But there are a lot of light weight trailers that would be ideal.
