At first I thought 250 HP was a little light for towing 11,400 lbs but when you stop and consider that the F150 likely weighs 3000 lbs less than a 1 ton maybe it will handle an 11000 lb 5th wheel quite nicely.

That should be a great combination with the 10 speed auto.Too bad it has to come with the emissions junk that dogs all late model diesels.

About the same as the old GM 6.5 TD, at less than half the displacement. Sounds pretty good for a little engine. With 5-6 more gears than the old pickups it should do well. The 6.5 moved a half ton pretty decent, but 11k + tow rating seems a tad optimistic.

The 3.5 egoboost has almost the exact same numbers that matter. Taking into account the ever changing emissions BS with diesels in general and the fact you would be getting close to the same mileage loaded/unloaded/towing, what's the benefit?

Sounds like Ford will be competing with themselves. You can have the egoboost, or the egodiesel.
