Since 2005, Ford had been using 17" rims due to the size of the brakes. The larger rims do not take away from braking if overall wheel diameter has not changed (reduced tire sidewall), however reducing too much of the sidewall does reduce payload capacity.
Once you go up to 19.5" rimmed trucks, the brakes are larger. However, they do have other ways to make braking more effective and apply this to the DRW F350.
