None of the pickup makers install larger rotors when you order 20" wheels. Taller tires reduces braking power. Simple psychics.
17" wheels fit over the brakes of all 3 of the 1-ton trucks. That is the only wheel size wheel even available for the heaviest GVWRs, with exception of the 2015 F450.
agreed... now try fitting uncle bens 15 or 16" rims on any of those trucks... as he and like others would want you to believe smaller diameter rims haul more get better mileage and are not as "fashionable"... should have all those OTR trucks switch over to 16, 15 or 14" wheels... as they have better load capacity and better fuel mileage... those 17" rims on "modern" light duty trucks do not leave a lot of room between the back of the brake caliper and inside of the rim... pack those wheels with snow and mud... see how effective your brakes are "ABS" or not! I'll take 18 or 20" rims any day for the conditions I drive in or those wee 17" rims!
ps. love 18" wheels, the heated seats, steering wheel, leather, the diesel engine, auto dim high beams, tilting mirrors, back-up camera, onboard GPS...on and on...when one spends 10-16hrs a day, 8 and or 16 days at a time in a truck... those creature "fashionable" comforts are well worth it!
