Someone mentioned three turbos in 20K miles? Me thinks someone did not how to drive a modern diesel truck. My 07 6.7L Cummins is supposed to be the worst, but I have never had a problem with it. I do run with the EB on all the time and always am in 5th unless Im on the highway. Keeping RPMs up, not lugging, and basically driving it like I stole it is the key to a happy diesel.
The early 6.7 cummins had issues with turbo's especially soot clogging them up.
With reprograming and turbo upgrades that was done during warranty those trucks are very trouble free.
Wrong... And the upgrade to the turbo was a shrader valve so you could pump in a solvent to clean the soot clogged turbo instead of having to tear it apart. Saved Chrysler big money on warranty repair labor.
