These Ford diesel problems were for pre-2010 trucks. Chevy has had its share of problems was well with all but the 2006-2007.5 and post 2011 engines. Cummins has been more reliable in terms of the engine's components but there are the cooling systems, electrical system, transmission, and other points of failure with the Dodge trucks.
What is interesting is that people will put more value on their experience with one vehicle from one model and one year and then extrapolate that experience as being relevant to all trucks produced, gas and diesel powered, by a manufacturer.
