Ford or Ram?
I've been looking at the Ram and found one I liked, drives great and loved the interior compared to my 07. I also drive a Ford 250 diesel torch shift and wow Its quick and noticeable extra horsepower....

Sounds like good advice. I've seen other posters complain about how a certain truck would ride, only to find out that the tires were at max inflation pressure.
Fronts on any diesel should be close to max, but no need to have rear tires at such high pressure levels.
My new RAM actually calls for 80on the front but I am sure that's based on the 6K front axle rating. My front weighs ready to tow 5,400# so like I did on my 11 I run 80 front. For the rear duals I run 40 solo and 60 loaded.
When I drove my new 15 home the wife and I commented that the ride sure was not as good as the 11. So I was scrolling thru the info on the dash and found all 6 tires were near 80psi. I lowered to 80/40 and all was well. I did call the sales manager I bought from and gave him a heads up about how if I were just someone taking my truck for a test drive I probably would have looked elsewhere. He thanked me and was going to have a talk to whoever does their prep after delivery.
Op also don't forget the Ford is still a 1999 platform.
