Frank.
I do like the power extendable and folding mirrors that Ford has.
Having just traded my 2011 Ford for my Ram, I'll readily admit the mirrors on the Ford are better.
I am vertically impaired (in other words, short :B ) and found the Ford mirrors positioned perfectly for me, with good views to either side front over the mirrors, and great rear views. I prefer driving either truck (the Ford or now my Ram) in heavy traffic cause of the great side views for lane changes and such.
The Ram mirrors, well I always tow that invisible trailer :B some complain about here cause the orientation of the mirror in that position is my preferred position.
However, I quickly noted that the Ram mirrors do obstruct my forward and to the side view, such as checking intersections at four way stops. I do by habit now, but had to remind myself to look around the mirrors when I first got the truck.
The Ford mirrors, as I mentioned, never got in my line of sight under the same circumstances.
