Ford or Ram?
I've been looking at the Ram and found one I liked, drives great and loved the interior compared to my 07. I also drive a Ford 250 diesel torch shift and wow Its quick and noticeable extra horsepower....

The Ford definitely has better mirrors. I drive a 2012 F-150 with the trailer tow mirrors as my work vehicle and the mirrors are far better than the Ram. The main problem with the Ram mirrors is the fact that the adjustment is completely different from the normal position to the trailer tow position. I set my memory settings for both to help deal with the issue.
Other than that I would choose the Ram with the Cummins diesel for a HD pickup. OP, if you are looking to buy a dually be prepared to buy new tires soon. I just got my truck back today after having the tires balanced for the 4th time; it is much better than it was but there is still a vibration issue with them.
I noticed that the new Rams come with Nexon tires I may have gotten the name wrong but did you have the same problem with these tires? Did they figure out the problem with the vibration?
My truck is a 2013 so it has the General Ameritracs and they are absolute POS. The vibration is much better than it originally was, but it is still there. I'm going to be taking the issue up with the service manager of the dealership now to hopefully come up with a solution. From what I have read replacement with a better set of tires is the only solution.
I too noticed the newer trucks come with the Nexens and I'm not sure how they are but I wouldn't expect them to be stellar! Given how much $ these trucks are, Ram should be installing a decent set of tires on them!
