Can't wait to get rid of my 2010 Dodge diesel. Most troublesome vehicle I ever owned and that includes a Chev Citation and Plymouth Volare...I know some swear by them, but I'm not one of them...
I used to drive nothing but Dodges until I started figuring my expenses and down time. Now I'm driving a Ford maybe not a pu it's still a Ford. But my wife still drives the Dodge too much of a hard headed Dutchman to change even when the were costing us a fortune too keep running. Drove Dodges for 50 yrs. before I got smart.
B.O. - spoon059Explorer IICorrect me if I am wrong... but even with Ford losing sales, they are still in first place by quite a bit aren't they?
- MvanderExplorerStill #1 with a design that only has months left i its life cycle. Not too bad I would say.
- hone_eagleExplorerWe do all remember Ford has a plant down right?
can't sell what is not built - Fast_MoparExplorerThis news about Ford is really not significant. They are down slightly over last year, but last year was a really good year. Ford still sells a boatload of trucks and will probably sell even more after the 2015 production ramps up. The Ecoboost powertrains have now gained wide acceptance. Ram sales continue to be impressive. Chevy & GMC are doing better than the industry average YTD.
- stsmarkExplorerRespectfully, a half a percentage point off year to year is not indicative of disaster. The local news had video of the new F150 and talk about the aluminum body etc. They said priced up to 62K, that is the problem for Ford.

Y'all do know. When you sell only a few trucks like Ram. when you do sell a few more. The percentage looks big. So if you sell less than half of the top seller, and then you pick up a few thousand. Of course the percentage looks huge.
One thing to remember. Ford is coming out with a completely new truck. Many are waiting to see it befor they buy, and They are STILL OUT SELLLING everyone else, with a soon to be replaced platform.
