Looks like a drop hitch places the cargo carrier or bike rack another 10 to 12 inches in front of the bumper. Combined with the Bodiak which extends a little further than a frame mounted receiver, the whole load is sticking out pretty far in front. That extra leverage probably reduces carrying capacity and will certainly make handling and maneuverability different. If I were going to spend the big bucks on a Versahaul (VH-Sport-RO) to haul around a motorcycle, I'd certainly chip in a little more to get a lower frame mounted hitch receiver. A nice Draw-Tite or Curt will cost less than $150.
