Ford Super Duty front hitches best fit

Hello everyone,
I would like to carry my 125 Zuma scooter on the front of my 2002 F350 dually power stoke with fog lights. Presently I have been using for about 5 years know the Bodiak front hitch which attaches to the existing tow hooks for other things and it has been working out great. But it seems a little too high for a motorcycle rack i am thinking about the Versahaul (VH-Sport-RO). Could anyone give me some references to a front hitch that would work the best. I would like to keep my Bodiak hitch attached also would like to keep my fog lights in tacked . The thing that will bother me is having to cut or trim the plastic air dam. Am I asking too much? Has anyone done this to a 2002 F350. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • The only front hitches that fit your truck have the receiver coming out in the center of the bumper, so changing hitches will not lower the scooter. I put a front hitch on mine, a Draw Tite (2000 SD) and have the same problem. You will need to use a high/low receiver accessary like Byrtr1 shows in his post. I put my DRZ on mine and couldn't see a thing over the bike. I plan on getting the high/low receiver before my next trip. I'm not familiar with your front hitch, but the I think 2002 Ford has the safety bar behind the front bumper to keep small cars from going under the vehicle. So switching to a another hitch that installs differently than yours may require cutting the safety bar out. The Draw Tite, Reese and Curt require cutting the safety bar if yours has one.

Also, nothing wrong with the Versa Haul, but check out Moto Tote. Better quality imo.
  • I have a reese no cutting hitch comes out where lic plate is so
buy the lic plate hitch when not using can't even tell it's there
  • Look on etrailer.com at the Curt. You will have to cut 2 1/2 inch in the air dam.

  • what about something like this and still use your bodiak receiver?
