Well, yeah. The fact that a higher priced vehicle may fall outside of some budgets is beside the point. Diesel trucks hold their value better, and that's not really debatable.
Are you sure. More expensive does not equal higher resale value. Just my cursory checking same year, vehicle, and mileage in KBB averaged about $4k more for the diesel compared to the gas engine. So the diesel is in fact worth more dollars but the original price was also at least $4k more new.
