- joerg68Nomad IIIthis...just does not look right.
The Transit is a capable truck and I see many of them every day. They are a decent base for our European class C variety. But an American TC belongs on a classic pickup truck.
Since the Bed is completely above the rear wheels, these things tend to be very tall.
Other than that I am sure it works well. And the Outfitter I owned went on to be carried on a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4. But still... something just doesn't look right to my eyes. - bagmanExplorerI like the Class C above! Would be perfect for a couple. I say that because our 2 kids are fully grown, out of the house and our focus would be for a motorized RV with enough living space in a Class C. My wife doesn't like Class A's, with respect to driving them and driving makes me very tired, so we need an RV we both feel comfortable driving! Bags.
- RobertRyanExplorerHere is one taken too it’s ultimate development. A 28ft Class C with 7,000lb towing

They are not Cab Chassis - RobertRyanExplorer
Par for the course for a European Cab Chassis. Renault has a 2 litre Cab Chassis variant of their Master Van, it has a 6000lb payload.
See the TFL truck story on the new Sprinter and the host mentions the Cab Chassis Mercedes gives a 5,500lb loading for the Older Sprinter
King of the.Cab Chassis is the IVECO with a 9000lb rating!
Cab Chassis are the European Pickups. You can get RWD, FWD or FOUR WHEEL Drive

- Buzzcut1Nomad IIAhh kayteg but if you go to Ford Australia you would find this
Transit Cab Chassis
• Single Cab and Double Cab
• Seats up to 7 occupants (on Double Cab)
• 2.2L TDCi Diesel engine
• 114kW Power
• 385Nm Torque
• 4,490kg Gross Vehicle Mass
• 3,159 – 4,149mm Frame Length
• 2,227 – 2,390kg Max Payload
• 3,500kg Braked Towing Capacity#
so it has a payload capacity of 4899 pounds to 5258 pounds per ford. you need to stop throwing out BS information - jimh406Explorer IIIIt looks like the stripped Lance they rent on 150s.
- Kayteg1Explorer IITransit Cargo Van has a GVWR range from 8,600 lbs.* (single rear wheel) to 10,360 lbs. (dual rear wheel). Payloads go from 3,020 lbs.* (single rear wheel) on up to 4,650 lbs.* (dual rear wheel)
Just wait for weight police. - theoldwizard1Explorer IIInteresting ! They do not sell the "cut away" version of the Transit in the US.
