ford v-10 milage
just curious: any one pull 5'er w/ford v-10 3500 srw what kind of milage do you get pullin & empty? Bil says he gets 15-16 empty & about same pulling.

Wow! V10s aren't known for fuel economy but if he's getting 6-8mpg EMPTY I think it's time to investigate to see if something's going on sapping his MPG. I assume no CE lights are on.
Now, if it's lifted on 37"s and he drives Nascar-esque then there's no mystery to solve, but on stock suspension and rubber 6-8 seems really poor even if he gets his foot into it.
I drive normal on my 37's. I get an average of 9.5-10 unloaded and with our old 5'er, I got an average of 6. It's the nature of the beast, I knew my mileage would go down, but I'm a fanatic about having a truck look the way I want it.
