Ford vs Chevy van
Thinking about getting a van to replace 2007 Expedition as TV for 26' TT. Main objective is to get more power than a 5.4 and seat at least 7 people. It looks to me like that means a V-10 Ford or 6....

As mentioned, if you look for a 2010 or newer GM it will have the 6 speed transmission. When I shopped 4 years ago I looked for a 2010 or newew for that reason, amongst some of the safety features that were standard in those models as well (Side curtain airbags, ABS, traction and stability control).
We had our 2011 nearly four years and didn't have any issues with the paint.
I believe that it was in 2013 that the 4.8L V8 was offered so if you look at one newer than that, make sure you know which engine it has.
