It's nice they ALL have plenty of power to do the job right out of the box without adding power enhancers. Two needed more gears and one does not to do their task. Two have marginal exhaust brakes and one has an awesome EB. So IMHO if anything needs to be improved it's the exhaust braking.
Really this "TEST" did not use the HO Cummins in the primary test as on the surface it makes the Cummins numbers "look" less than reality. But IMHO is the authors intent. NO not whining just stating the obvious.
Talking to my son about his exhaust brake on 2022 Superduty after your comment above , he said if he uses adaptive cruise it applies the brakes if needed coming off a grade , does not care for that . He said he turns off the adaptive on the steep grades ,sets his cruise ,and it does its thing same as the Ram . Steep grade out of Island Park ,down to Ashton Idaho, about a steep of grade for about 5 miles as you want to go , going home yesterday he said it did that grade with it set at 55 ,and never touched the brakes. I used to white knuckle that grade with my old Superduty ,and Montana fifth wheel, I would slow to about 40 over the top ,and try to keep it there .
Sounds like Ford has caught up with the RAM. You might want to test drive one . :B
They are impressive ,but on the other hand my other sons 2022 Ram is equally as impressive , but has nothing over on the Ford .
