Ford's 6 speed transmission, likes/dislikes, compared to others?

Not piling on- I own a Ford myself- but my ex-wife's Fusion company car is on its 3rd transmission and has less than 50,000mi.

On the other hand, I'm very happy with the performance characteristics of the Torqshift in my F250.

Not sure newer/more gears/adaptive learning is always better. Yes (in theory) it aids performance but that performance gain involves more moving parts, more complexity, more gears to hunt between...
