Forest river has the same floor plans as Jayco, as they were acquired by them years ago. Now almost everything is owned by THOR.
Forest River is a respectable company, but for whatever reason were purchased years ago by Jayco, another respectable family owned company... but we're also bought out by THOR. So that's the history there. I always knew THOR for its truck campers, that were top notch. But I've heard otherwise by some.
The bottom line is most of the manufacturers are owned by the same parent company now so... look closely at the rig, and go based off what you observe.
There are differences in quality from what they call entry level and advanced. Look at the construction of the cabinets and the components they put in the unit. It will give you an idea of how it's built. Look for saw dust in the cabinets, it will tell you about the attention to detail. Look at the matress and the cushions. Crawl under the rig and look around at the welds, at the pluming, etc.
We've been shoping so much for a new rv, that they all are starting to look the same. Good luck.
