- UncleDonaldExplorerWe have the Coachmen with the front kitchen and absolutely LOVE it. Pulls good, great counter space and with rear bedroom with slide next to bathroom it is very livable. First trip was over 3000 miles and couldn't find anything we did not like about it. Don
- jparker66ExplorerI was looking at your floor plan online yesterday. I really like it. I have a 2012 3/4 ton Chevy diesel with towing package. Should not have any trouble pulling this trailer.
- WillyBExplorerWe have a 2010 V-Cross front kitchen model. Love the counter space and the layout of the trailer. Wish our year had the later opening windows at the dinette. The tongue weight is heavy (around 900 or so) but we use a Reese w/d hitch with built-in sway control. No problem pulling with our Sierra 1500/5.3, but wouldn't like to haul through lots of hills or mountains with it. Just my 2c.
- SooperDaddyExplorerIt's not just for looks, the "V" nose actually does help handling in the wind as well as a slight fuel mileage increase vs a typical "pulling brick" travel trailer. 2 mpg better per at least 3 owners I've talked to. Plus the V-Cross has some pretty neat floorplans.
- DutchmenSportExplorerFew years ago we looked at one with a kitchen in the V. Loved it, but the price did not love us.
- BillB800siExplorerBe sure to check out availability of exterior access storage area.
Good luck, - WayneAt63044ExplorerI bought a 2013 826VFK in July 2012 which is an 8' wide model. We like the front kitchen and the rear bedroom next to the bathroom. There is door between the living area and the bedroom that we leave closed and installed a shelved wardrobe on the bedroom side of that door for more storage and I built a bench for the living side of the door with bin storage under that. I would suggest using maintenance free AGM batteries as access through the outside door is difficult. I added a second battery accessing it through an inside panel. You'll need an Equl-i-zer brand weight distribution hitch or similar as there is no space above the A-frame rails to mount a chain lift mechanism; all must be below the frame. All-in-all we like it and it tows well with our Ram 1500 Hemi. Of course there are a few things were prefer were different but we are enjoying it anyway. Not a very big fresh water tank but we boondock with it successfully as we are just 2 water conserving adults.
- desiphilExplorerMy limited experience towing a v-nose was not good. It was not a V-cross however. My question to the dealer would be how they keep the hitch weight so light with so much structure over it.. Do they move axles forward? Playing around with axle position can lead to other issues. I would ask dealer for a test pull before buying. Its slow season now and they should accommodate any request for a potential sale.
- GrandpaKipExplorer IIWe liked the 19 foot Vibe model, except fot the "bed in a cave". Galley layout was small, but doable. The bed layout was nixed by my wife. Seemed to be fairly well made, but did not look real close.
- mboppExplorerCan't confirm it, but I've heard the tongue weight is high. It's an interesting design, we looked at one with a front bathroom in the "V."
