Forgot to mention the Ram 3500 is a "mega cab" with
the shorter bed. How will this affect towing?

The megacab short bed is exactly the same length bed as on a crew cab short bed. All they do is use the crew cab long bed frame, put the short bed on it, and fill the rest with cab.
