Fox Landing on an older Arctic Fox 990

We have a 2008 Arctic Fox 990 on a F450 Ford flatbed with a custom made Aluminum flat bed, this set up is nice but sets high. When we first got the rig it had the scissor steps on it, very scary for a old fart with bad knees. I put a back porch (30 inches X 60 inches) on supported with chains I then put a set of steps off a 5th wheel under the porch, bolted up nice and folds out off the way. I also pull a trailer with our Harley TriGlide on it. The steps clear the hitch and the only problem we have had is when we left the steps out and took off, We stopped at the next RV dealer and bought a new set of steps and installed them in the parking lot. We are on the Route 66 from Chicago to La and having a good time Left San Antonio Texas on April 15th and after visiting friends and family are half way through, 3100 miles so far and all is good. We will be in Amarillo Tx for a few weeks . If any body is threw this way let us know and we can meet for coffee.
