Okay, getting it from point A to point B, I plan to hire a towing company. I plan to park it at the camp ground who stores campers. When you want to go camping, you call them and they move it to your camp site. And, yes, they store it all year for a nice fee of course. I can have the camper taken to a camper service for a look over for about $150.00. Which is what I thought I would do. If it requires too many repairs, or too expensive repairs, I would decline the gift. That will be a little tricky, it almost sounds that I'm ungrateful.
I would love to a get away place, especially to a place I can take my dogs. That's the worst part of hotels, they are expensive, especially on the beach, and not all hotels are dog friendly. It costs me about $50.00 a day for a dog sitter to come in a few times a day to let the dogs out and to feed them when husband and I are away.
I'm sure the camper is probably in poor condition. My friend has been bed ridden for several years so I know the camper has not left the driveway. Not sure if her husband kept up with any of the maintenance but I'll find out.
Didn't think about tires, axle, brakes, etc.
My sister and her family has a camper on the camp ground that I want to park and they love the heck out of it. She keeps wanting us to come up for the weekend, but we would have to stay in a hotel (her family is big and takes up her camper). But they have a $40,000 rig. I can't afford that, nor would I want to. I like to camp but I don't want to invest that kind of money it it. I would rather be catered to sometimes, you know stay in 5 star hotels, cruise, B&B and I can do a lot of that with $40,000.00. But that's just me. She loves it, but who wouldn't, her camper is nicer than her house.
Me, I would rather have a okay camper and do other things as well.
