No, the brackets are still there. I think when the tank got overfilled it kind of flexed and buckled.
Regarding sites, we bought this TT mainly to enable us to stay onsite at the dog shows we go to. Some sites have hook-ups for water, some don't so we need to keep the tank in good order. Or, like the first time we used it, the city water apparently had too much pressure and we had a small leak. We quickly disconnected and filled the fresh water tank and used it all weekend. Then we learned of water pressure regulators! :-)
