That is a possibility, but I have had no problem. When you have the bottom fitting open, flush the heck out of it. I use the supply hose as a pressure fill hose so that back flushes it from near the filter back to the tank. Just keep an eye on the filter screen.
I also had wasted water capacity from the tank sagging between the three straps holding it up. I added two more straps to reduce the sagging.
